I won this at the 2007 Model Expo in Petaluma – have I mentioned that I love rafffles? I have never built a figure before – it consisted of just a few parts and was a lot of fun to build. I added some sand around his feet – glued down with white glue – to add some more interest. I think I’ll put him on a shelf over my model work bench – with this pose he seems to be yelling at me to get busy and finish the model I’m working on – lol.

I need some suggestions for the plaque that can go on the front of the base.

My Son Duke has a Audi A3 – a really great looking car.

We recently saw the movie “Iron Man” staring Bobby Downey Jr as the man. He has a lot of very cool cars – but the one he drives around in is – the Audi R8. Duke wanted one – so being the great dad that I am I told him I wold get him one – I just didn’t tell him what scale it would be. This Revell model is very nicely detailed and goes together without problems. I followed the instructions and built it out of the box. Pictures follow:

Ok – it’s finished. The build went pretty well till I tried to glue the body to the chassis. I discovered two things – one – the front wheels were installed upside down so the car sat much too high in the front – and two – the interior was a little too far back in the body. I managed to fix the first and tweaked the second to get a reasonable fit. The paint was another problem as it seemed to like to come off with the masking tape a few times – that necessitated a few more touch-ups here and there. So here are the pics:
