This is the model of Robby the Robot from the movie Forbidden Planet which came out in 1957. This is my favorite science fiction movie, and it has really held up well over the years. The model is put out by Polar Lights. I've also added the photo etch set by Para Grafix and the light/sound kit from Starling Technologies as well as the figure of Altaira which was played by Ann Francis in the movie.
