German Tiger I – Tamiya 1/35 (Late)

Posted by Paul On May - 18 - 2009

I have always liked the Tiger I and remember building the Tamiya 1/25 in college during finals week once. What can I say – I got tired of studying. I built this version about 2003, and it was the first new model I’d built in many many years. I added an Eduard photo etch set (I forget which one) – that consisted of fenders, machine gun ammo box, tool implements, engine grill screens, brackets and hatch hardware, etc. I added zimmeret using Tamiya white putty and hand painted the turret markings. The antenna consists of a fine horse hair from an old paint brush.

Ferrari Modena 360 – Tamiya 1/25

Posted by Paul On May - 18 - 2009

I built this model for my son Duke. I sprayed it with a Tamiya rattle can – Ferrari Red. The kit went together without any problems and is quite detailed. There was metal foil stickons included for the nameplates and fine mesh material for the air intakes. I made up small license plates for it that say Duke.
