Here are some pics of two models my son Duke built when he was about 13. I think he did a great job. They have been sitting in the attic for the last 10 years or so – it’s about time they saw the light of day. Both models are currently sitting above my closet on a shelf. Duke – isn’t it about time for another model?

1967 Chevy Camaro Z28 – AMT 1/25

I built this for my daughter Summer. It has a fully wired engine and Bare Metal Foil for trim. I made custom license plates for it that read Summer. It was a fun build – but with cars you need to really get a smooth shiny finish and that takes some extra care. The decals weren’t so great – the white stripes allowed some color bleed through. Next time I’ll paint them. It was fun to build and to wire up the engine area. I haven’t built a car model in about – well a long time and this one was a blast to do.
